Hydrogen UK and DGA announced as partners
Decarbonised Gas Alliance (DGA) and Hydrogen UK have been named a Partners for the UK’s first official Hydrogen Week, a dedicated campaign celebrating and promoting the role of hydrogen in reaching net zero.
The trade organisation Hydrogen UK aim to showcase the development and deployment of hydrogen solutions, with the desire to educate and excite stakeholders about hydrogen opportunities across the UK.
Clare Jackson, Chief Executive of Hydrogen UK said: “The inaugural UK Hydrogen Week couldn’t come at a more crucial time. The UK has an incredible opportunity to become a world leader in low carbon hydrogen, but this will only materialise if government, industry, and the public work together to make this a reality. We hope that UK Hydrogen Week can be a springboard for engaging a greater audience around the incredible benefits of hydrogen in delivering net zero!”
Whilst Decarbonised Gas Alliance (DGA), a joint industry group offers a unique perspective to decarbonised gas markets and develop attractive market structures and business models which will be critically important in stimulating and underpinning decarbonised gas supply and demand.
Chair of the Decarbonised Gas Alliance, Chris Barron commented, “We are delighted to be part of the UK’s first, national Hydrogen Week, showcasing the innovation and investment being made throughout the hydrogen value chain.
“The DGA commits to support the government in delivering the hydrogen strategy, making the creation of jobs, GVA and regional benefits a reality whilst positioning the UK as a world leader in the evolving global hydrogen economy.
“Events like this are vital to acknowledge developments already made and help shape the accelerated roll out of a hydrogen economy.”
