The North Sea Decarbonisation Conference
The North Sea region, which is home to several European countries including the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Belgium, has set ambitious decarbonisation goals in line with the global efforts to address climate change. The countries bordering the North Sea have different targets and strategies to reach decarbonisation, but overall, the goals include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the use of renewable energy, and promoting sustainable economic growth. Our two-day conference will explore the North Sea’s journey, taking a closer look at a range of measures to reach set decarbonisation goals, including the development offshore wind, electrifying the oil and gas sector, promoting CCUS, new innovations, and investing in new low-carbon technologies.
Over the two days there will be a number of sessions exploring the potential of the North Sea:
- Sector Updates
- Unlocking the North Sea as a Green Powerplant
- Offshore Wind
- CCUS
- Hydrogen
- Offshore Electrification
- Marine Energy
- Alternative Energy
- Technology
